More than a quarter of Munich’s urban population is younger than 27. However, many young adults do not feel sufficiently represented in the city. Nightowls Munich focuses on the often invisible world of this generation.
Stephanie Maier accompanies eight young protagonists to their personal spaces at night and reflects on the relationship between social space, architecture and the body. In addition to an essayistic video portrait, the result is a mapping of nocturnal free spaces where the protagonists can be seen as augmented realities.
